Mike was born on Centerville, IA, attended North High School in Des Moines and graduated from Drake University.  He has been trying to retire since 1997 after a long career in software technology.

Burgher Family Tree
The Burgher family descend from Govert Burger who resided in the Black Forest area of Germany and emigrated to the English Colonies in 1690.  His grandson Nicholas Burgher was a Revolutionary War hero, at Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered.  The family used to have much wealth but has become poor over time.  To view more genealogy (click here)
